Good tips, Paolo. I need to work on my own routine but when my sleep became disrupted by radiation treatment, I started a routine to make being up in the middle of the night pleasurable. I get my coffee and start digging into a basket of books I keep by my chair. I have a gratitude journal, a book on ancient interpretations of Hebrew, a memoir, and my son and I are doing a private bookclub of reading The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Then I do my Pilates (floor mat) and I appreciate you mentioning who you let guide you. I then turn on the heat in my art studio, come back inside and make beds, shower and dress, before heading back over there. I think you are so right about what these routines of ours do to our enjoyment of life and our forward progress.
